Steve joined Badgley Phelps in 1987 as an investment manager. He is the firm's President, Chief Executive Officer and Chief Investment Officer as well as a member of the Research Team. Steve is a past member of the Schwab Institutional Advisory Board, past President and current Trustee of the Seattle Opera, past chairman of the University of Washington Estate Planning Board, and a past director of the University of Washington Foundation Board. He is also a past trustee of the Henry Art Gallery, Epiphany School, Washington Policy Center, and Custom Industries. Steve is a guest lecturer at the University of Washington’s Department of Economics where he leads a senior level course on stock market valuation and securities analysis. In 1984, he joined PACCAR, Inc. as an analyst in the treasury department of its finance subsidiary and as an independent researcher in the field of transportation economics. Steve is a native of Seattle and has four children.
