“The important thing is not to stop questioning. Curiosity has its own reason for existing.”

Steve joined Badgley Phelps in 1987 as an investment manager and is the firm's chief investment officer and a wealth manager, as well as a member of the research team.

“The culture of our firm and the success of our clients are inextricably linked. Long term investment success therefore requires the creation of an organization which becomes sustainable through a culture dedicated to honesty, integrity and openness in an evolving world.”

Previously, Steve worked at PACCAR, Inc., as an analyst in the treasury department of its finance subsidiary and as an independent researcher in the field of transportation economics.

A busy professional who sets aside time each day to read outside his profession, Steve is an avid traveler whose journeys are inspired by both history and the call of natural beauty, be it on land or under the sea.
